(sub) urban

I love this animated graphic from David Sucher over at city comforts. I must remember to check out the book. I'm slowly building an Amazon wish list for books on urbanism, any other suggestions?

You probably already know this, but the first and last book on urbanism is Jane Jacobs' The Death and Life of Great American Cities.

thanks andrew, i actually just bought it! I can't believe I've never read it before. I'm also enjoying the New Transit Town, by ed. Hank Dittmar & Gloria Ohland.

Great, I'd love to see some posts applying Jacobs' ideas to Oakland. I have a few in my about Jack London. . .
